Hello @Noorali, when utilizing Q in QuickSight, as the author you have the capability to set predefined entities that will appear as a separate tab from the ai-generated default options. Here is documentation on how you can customize those entities. After you read through this, you can click to the next page called Asking and answering questions of data with Amazon Q in QuickSight to see how those entities appear in Q.

I will mark this as a solution for now, but if you have any follow-up questions please let me know! As this is still a tool in beta, new features and capabilities are getting added all the time.

Hi @DylanM ,
I don’t have any convert topic option.
This is what my topic page looks like.

Hello @Noorali, I think it has something to do with your original topic. If you see in the documentation, that statistics pain is filled out when they go to Duplicate & Convert Topic. I think your original topic needs to be more specific so that Q can gain insights from the data, rather than importing all of your data directly.

On their example, it is Customer Usage. If you can build a new topic, I would be curious to see the results.

I don’t have any Duplicate & Convert Topic.
Where can I find it?
Also, I have created a new entity with just 5 fields. nothing happened.

Hello @Noorali !

The Duplicate and Convert Topic is not a topic in Q, it is an option when using the beta generative capabilities.

“Navigate to a topic, and then choose Convert next to the topic name. You will then be prompted to Duplicate & Convert Topic in a dialog box. We duplicate your topic for you so that the conversion to our beta experience does not impact your end users. Once you are satisfied with topic performance in the new experience, you can unshare the original topic and share the new one.”
