How can I make the Chat agent directly use the data from the Datasets I already have?

To utilize your datasets in the chat agent, they’ll have to be connected to either a dashboard or a topic.
So I just ran a couple tests, here’s what I found:
- If your dataset is connected to a dashboard, you can ask questions about fields and values being used in visuals. If you ask a general question that can’t be referred to from a visual in your dashboard, it will not be able to answer.
- If you create a topic for your dataset; you can start asking questions directly related to that topic/dataset with little else done to the topic (Just make sure all fields are included in the topic so that they can be referred to in the answers).
