Hi team,
I have a question about how the quicksight removes duplicate values from a column. Is it deleting the duplicates from top down or bottom up approach. I want to retain the value which has a specific value in other column.
Hello @cijod, welcome to the QuickSight community!
I suppose this depends on how you are displaying the data. If there are 2 columns that are important for grouping in a table, then you should add both to the group by field well to ensure that if one of the 2 fields is different, the other column will repeat a value. Let me know if this helps!
If you need further information, please send some more information or include anonymized screen shots of the visuals in question, and I can guide you further. Thank you!
Hello @cijod, can you please provide more information about the issue you are facing so I can guide you further? If we do not hear back from you in 3 days, I will unlist this topic. Thank you!
Hi @cijod - I believe QS simply take a distinct to suppress the duplicate values internally. I agree with @DylanM if you put the columns in the analysis in group you can observe all records.

Okay Understood Dylan and Sanjeeb. I will add both to the group by field and see how it works. In the meantime, you can close this task. Thanks for looking into this.
Thanks @cijod . Ideally the requestor should close the task and select the appropriate reply as solution.
