How to add a shape or vertical line in Quciksight

Hi @Venkat.Metadata, thanks for getting back. As I mentioned in my first post, it is just an image of narrow line pasted into a text box visual. You can open the given Demo Central link, click on “show analysis”, and then select and enlarge the vertical line like the screenshot below. You should realize it is just an image.

I believe the Demo Central example was created before Quick Sight supported directly adding image as a visual. Now that Quick Sight support this feature, you can do it a little more easily, without using text box. Please try the following steps.

  1. Create a image of narrow line. For example, open PowerPoint, draw a vertical line, right-click on it, and save as it picture (.png).
  2. In Quick Sight Analysis, choose add image.

  3. Upload the png image created from step 1.
  4. Then you get the vertical line like following.
  5. Optionally, you can hide back ground and set scaling to “fit to height”. This allows you to change the image size while keeping the aspect ratio and it can overlap with other visuals without the background interfering.

I hope this is clear enough, but do let me know should you need any help.
