Is there a way to allow the user to choose the color theme on the dashboard?

Does the company’s QuickSight administrator need to configure this?

How do I know if the version I’m using is QuickSight Embedding SDK version 2.5.0 or higher?

Themes are controlled within the Analysis by authors. If your dashboard is not embedded into your application (like @ErikG’s solution) then there is no way for a reader to change the theme.
