How to apply add colour to only specific columns or rows

Hi All,

I have a requirement where I want to show text in red colour starting from 10th column and 9th row of table visual . Any idea how can I achieve this?

Directly coloring text starting from 10th column and 9th row is not natively supported. Conditional formatting can achieve similar effects if you prepare your data with suitable flags or conditions, but not purely by static cell position.

  • Create a calculated field (e.g., HighlightFlag) indicating if the current row and column meet your criteria. This requires having row numbers or some indicator, which might need preprocessing in your dataset.
  • In the table visual, use conditional formatting, Format visual → Cells → Conditional formatting → add a rule using HighlightFlag. Set the text color to red when HighlightFlag is true.

These approaches work only if your data has the needed positional flags available, as Quick Sight formatting is tied to data, not visual layout.
