We are embedding the console within our application, and we would like the display style to be as close as possible to our own style.
In particular, we would like to show only the editing section and the toolbar, without the menu section highlighted in the figure below.
Take a look at the attached documentation below, this helps explore visual customization when it comes to embedding. Let us know if you have any additional questions:
Thank you for your reply, but it does not solve my problem.
Themes and brands affect the graphic appearance, such as colors or fonts to be applied, but they do not allow you to change the position of the toolbar when an embedded console is used, for example.
Looking at the QuickSight documentation, you often find the example of OKTANK ANALYTICA
To my understanding (and looking at the screenshot shared), the vertical toolbar looks to be the layout of the old UI, which is no longer available.
In terms of the menu bar appearing, there are various ways you can embed a dashboard that allow you to set the sizing so that it only shows the section/area you’d like included.
Here’s some additional documentation that explores various embedding techniques:
From what I understand, it is not possible to achieve what you showed in the presentations and documentation. In my opinion, it would be better to update the examples to avoid false expectations.
The article you recommend is about dashboard embedding, but it does not concern the console (dashboard editing), which was the subject of my request.
What we are experiencing when trying to insert content editing into our application is that the embedded console cannot be adapted to the style of the application that hosts it, either in terms of layout (the menu and the toolbar are always displayed) or in terms of the fonts used (not customizable).
In my opinion, some more work is needed to improve this use case.
Hope everything is well and thanks so much for clarifying a little more in regard to your question. I would definitely recommend contacting AWS Support by creating a support ticket, as they may be able to assist further in your customization use case.
I will also make sure to mark this post as a feature request so that your request regarding console customization improvements can be brought to the attention of the AWS Team!
