Hi Team,
I’m trying to create a bar chart where the color gradient is darker for higher sales values and lighter for lower sales values. Is there a way to achieve this?
Thanks & Regards

Hi @Biswajit_1993
you could try to generate a new field where you calculate/categorize the “higher” and “lower”, specifiy the fix colors and use it as color field.

Hi @Erik, the two-bar presentation is fine, but I need to apply a color gradient to a chart with 10 bars based on total sales. The color should be deeper for higher sales and progressively lighter for lower sales.
Lets take this example.
If you look here, there are different subcategories, and the color gets deeper based on higher sales values, while it becomes lighter for lower sales values

Hi @Biswajit_1993,
Take a look at the attached Arena view, there’s an explanation of the error in the ‘color’ calculated field to help explain.
How to do Gradient Bar Chart Representation
Here’s another example as well as a tutorial video from a recently hosted QuickSight Learning Series that covers a similar aspect.
Hi @Brett, thank you so much for sharing the details.
This is the most awaited feature in QuickSight.
