I need that as soon as the relevant value only is filtered, it is automatically set, without having to select it
Hi @PedroRodriguezxX and welcome to the QuickSight community!
If I understand your question correctly, you are trying to have one control automatically update to show only the relevant values from another filter when modified?
If so, you would need your controls to be setup as parameters. Then, when edit your control that youâd like to show only relevant values. At the bottom youâll see an option for âshow relevant values onlyâ. Select that and check the parameter/control that youâd like this one to be affected by.
If youâre looking to accomplish something different, feel free to let me know. If this helps with your case, please mark as solution to assist the rest of the community!
Additionally, I noticed that you added a duplicate topic as well, Iâll provide a comment in there to refer to this topic and archive that one!
Hi Brett, thanks for your response. I already have the âShow relevant valuesâ feature applied to my filters. What I need is that when the control is filtered, it already selects the value that appears in the display list
Hi @PedroRodriguezxX,
Sorry for the confusion, I must have misunderstood the original question. Would you be able to share some screenshots of what you currently have and point out how youâd like it to look? That way I can assist in a more efficient way!
Thank you
I have some controls that I use for data sets with custom sql query where as soon as I enter the IDS it automatically queries the database and returns the data. Thinking from the userâs perspective, when he uses the controls with the filters, he will only set the controls that have the name of what the user wants to see, after which the âShow only relevant valuesâ feature will filter the IDs necessary to return what the user wants. What I need is that when the user enters the names, the value filtered by the âShow only relevant valuesâ feature is automatically set, making the query in the database and returning the result, without the user having to select the value from the list that control will return
Hi @PedroRodriguezxX,
Thank you for explaining a bit more in depth. Unfortunately, this is not an available feature through QuickSight.
