When connecting Google Sheets as a data source, only one table can be
created at a time. Even if a single Sheet contains multiple sub-sheets (
tabs), only one sheet can be imported at a time. I have the following
questions:
1/ Is there a way to import multiple sub-sheets (tabs) within a single
Google Sheet all at once?
2/ How can I import multiple separate Google Sheet files at once?
Any advice from the builder community would be greatly appreciated.
As far as i know you cannot import all tabs or multiple google sheets at once.
Hope below helps you understand
1/ Importing Multiple Sub-sheets (Tabs) from a Single Google Sheet
Currently, you cannot import all tabs at once automatically. However, you can add multiple tabs from the same Google Sheet file using this workflow :
Connect to your Google Sheet and select the first tab you want to import
Choose Edit/Preview data to navigate to the Data preparation page
Use the Add data button to include additional tabs from the same sheet
Configure joins between the tabs as needed
Publish & visualize when complete
This means you’ll need to manually select and add each tab one at a time through the “Add data” functionality, but you can combine multiple tabs from the same Google Sheet file into a single dataset.
2/ Importing Multiple Separate Google Sheet Files at Once
There is no bulk import feature for multiple separate Google Sheet files. You would need to:
Create separate data source connections for each Google Sheet file, OR
Use the “Add data” functionality to join data from multiple Google Sheet files within a single dataset
