How to set X axis title, in a horizontal bar chart, that uses multiple field values in the X axis?

When I create a simple horizontal bar chart, using one y-axis field and one x-axis field, the x-axis title can be changed in the Properties menu.

If I add more than one x-axis field to the chart, the x-axis title property disappears.

I could solve this by using a text object on top of the visual, but that seems to be a strange workaround, especially since the option already exists in my first example.

If it’s relating to the auto-population of the title property using the field name, one could just use the first x-axis field and allow the user to change it after. That seems better than disabling the feature once more fields aare added.

Hi @peter.robson,

Welcome to the Quick Community! As this is a current limitation within Quick Suite, you would have to commit to a workaround. I would suggest making a parameter followed by a control for it with all the values you want to indicate for the respective axis (I used Y axis for example but you can easily apply this for X axis).

Then, you want to apply the parameter to a calculated field like this:

After that, I would just make sure in the Display settings to change your respective axis to showcase your parameter, and then it should showcase multi-field behavior like in the image below:

If this does not look suitable for your use case, then I would definitely stick to the text object workaround for the time being.

Hope this helps!
