How to start a new chat session in Quick "Apps" without closing the app editor?

I’m building an app in Quick Apps (DCEO New Hire Launch Plan Tracker), and the chat panel has become very slow as the conversation history grows over time.

I’d like to start a new chat session within the same app project to improve performance, but I cannot find any option to do so — there’s no “New Chat” or “New Session” button in the Apps chat panel.

What I’ve tried:

  • Looked for a “New Chat” button in the Apps editor — it doesn’t exist
  • Asked the Quick agent how to start a new session — it says to click “New Chat,” but that button is not available within the Apps interface
  • Refreshing the page (the conversation history persists and remains slow)

What I’m looking for:

  • I’ve seen an answer that it automatically restarts after waiting 15–20 minutes, but it doesn’t seem to be.
  • If not, is this a planned feature?

Thank you for providing so much detail and the steps you’ve already taken. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a option to have a “New Chat” within the same app. I tried replicating this in our environment and also did not see the option.

As a potential workaround, I would suggest creating a duplicate of the app and continuing on that version (you could mark it as ‘Version 2’ for reference). Doing this means that your new (duplicated) app still has all the building you did on the original version, but this time with a new chat.

Here is an example of a duplicate I created, and the chat now only has one entry (making the duplicate).
