Image size limit 2000px

Hello, I need to include images above 2000px in height on my dashboard. I used to be able to do this with that tab that was disabled, the “New Look” and “Switch back”. How should I proceed?

When you attempt to add an image of that size, do you receive some type of error or what’s happening?

When I select to resize the image to a height above 2000px, it simply reverts automatically to 2000px. I type 3000, it sets it to 2000…

I tried out a couple different scenarios but am unable to get the size any larger as well. If this is something that you were able to do in the past, I would suggest creating a support ticket. I’m unaware of any work arounds, if they are even possible.

Hi @ArunSanthosh @DylanM - Can you please help on this. Looks like some features of new look is not working. Not sure do we have any documentation what are changes done in the new look of QuickSight. This will help to the whole user community to adhere those changes.

Currently, QuickSight restricts all visual types, text boxes, and other objects to a maximum width of 1920 and a maximum height of 2000. If you try to apply a greater height, it will automatically be set to 2000.

Hello @Lucas1, unfortunately, based on my own research and the information shared by everyone else, it seems that the limitation on visual height is more restrictive in the new look than the old QuickSight view. Since the old view is now deprecated, I will tag this topic as a feature request for our support team. I would also recommend submitting a support ticket like @Brett suggested above if you have support access in your enterprise account.

Since we are unable to provide a timeline for implementation on feature requests, I would suggest continuing to build visuals assuming the maximum size will remain at 2000px. You can also keep an eye on the What’s new tab of the QuickSight community to see when features and updates are released.

For now, I will archive this topic for our support team so they know this is a QuickSight feature our users’ miss in the new look. Thank you for your feedback!
