Importing 20MB data from S3 in quicksight is taking a lot of time

The progress also shows “0” for a very long time.
Can you guide how to fasten up this process

Hi @Shambhavi - It should not take much time. Please check your configuration like manifest file and other details. If you can also get more details on the file type, config details, community can help you on this.

In parallel, i will suggest raise a ticket to AWS Customer support team so that they can also analyze the logs in backend and help you. To raise a request, please follow the link - Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support

Tagging @duncan @DylanM for their expert advise as well.

Hello @Shambhavi !

I agree with @Sanjeeb2022 . I would check your data source and potentially try incremental refreshes if this is not the first time that you have imported the data.

Hello @Shambhavi, were you able to resolve the data ingestion issue you were having in QuickSight?

I haven’t been able to solve this yet.
Also I am not sure if AWS Customer Support team is free to use since I have not subscribed to this service

Hello @Shambhavi, in order to provide any assistance here I need a little more information about the data you are pulling in. Are you running custom SQL to query the data with any complex functionality? This can definitely slow the process a bit if you are altering the data. Are you setting your dataset to store in SPICE? If your query is taking too long to run, this would be the better way to store your data so it will not have to run the query any time you view it in an analysis or dashboard.

Hello @Shambhavi, since we have not heard from you in awhile, I am going to go ahead and archive this ticket. If you still need assistance on this issue or if you have another question feel free to post a new topic so you can appear back at the top of our activity log. That will make sure you receive a response quickly. Good luck building our dashboards!
