Integration into flows

So I created few chat agents and I want to use or integrate that into my flows, from what I have seen so far, I am able to build the agents inside the flows but that is only for that specific prompt, for another work flow, I need to modify my prompt by specifiying the behaviour of the chat agent again, instead do I have an option to link my chat agents to the flows or is this feature only for those who have the admin credentials

Hi @Irene_Sibi ,

From what I understand, you cannot embed custom agents as components into flows. In terms of what interactions a custom agent can have with flows is limited to this:

I would refer to this resource for more information (Invoking flows in Custom Agents - Amazon Quick). Hope this helps!

Hi @Irene_Sibi,

Following up here as it’s been a while since last communication took place on this thread; did you have any additional questions regarding your initial post?

If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll close out this topic.

Thank you

So the feature I was talking about I don’t know if this is right to ask, but are You integrating that feature soon ?
And also can the alternative be integrating the agents through knowledge base and spaces using connectors like OneDrive ?
And also to use Teams connector do we need Oauth credentials ?

Hi @Irene_Sibi ,

As this is a public user forum and I am not an AWS employee, I am not able to access or provide any non-public information about unreleased features.

For OneDrive, there are a few things you can do with an integration into Quick. In terms of Actions, you can create, update, delete, and manage OneDrive content through API calls. Then if you connect it to a knowledge bases you can ask questions and get insights from your documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other file types. Refer to this resource for more information (Microsoft OneDrive integration - Amazon Quick).

Yes you will still need OAuth credentials for a Teams integration but only for a user authentication. For Service Authentication you only need application permissions. Refer to this resource for more information (Microsoft Teams integration - Amazon Quick)/

Hi @Irene_Sibi ,

So I was playing around in Flows today and I noticed that I think you can integrate a custom chat agent to one of the steps in your flows.

From the screenshots above you can see that after clicking the ‘chat agent’ in AI Reponses will generate the box where you can edit the specific step. Within it, there is a drop-down box that you can click on which allows you to select custom chat agents that you have created. I have not played around with this functionality yet so I cannot provide much guidance on the usability at this time. But from what I can tell you can implement custom chat agents specifically into flows. Hope this helps out what you were originally trying to do and apologies on initially telling you the wrong information.

Sorry, I had 1 more doubt, we can connect the chat agents, but are we able to connect the knowledge base ?
cause when I connect them through the chat agent they are not recognising the data

And also sorry to ask am I able to know it by today, it was a bit urgent, cause we cannot upload the json formats to the chat agents cause the file does not support.
So there should be another way, I just wanted to know how can we do it through connectors or any other route

Hi @Irene_Sibi ,

So if your chat agent is not recognizing the knowledge base then make sure your specific knowledge base has been selected. Refer to the screenshots below:

If your chat agent is still having problems pulling data from a specific space or knowledge base, then my other idea would be to add the ‘Generate Quick data’ step to your flow.

This step will allow you to directly link your knowledge base to your flow and ideally be able to utilize the data in the knowledge space. Hope this helps!

I had one more doubt

Hi @Irene_Sibi ,

I apologize but can you please restate your additional doubt so I can make sure to address it correctly?

Yes, so I have been trying to use API endpoints and I am facing one issue.
In the integrations, when I use the available Rest Api (I have been using the public api, service authentication I have not used any credentials) and then when I deploy it, it shows action successfully created and I am able to see that action under the integration tab
But when I create a new flow and add a step called Add Action, it should list out the actions I have created , unfortunately it does not show up the action I have created using Rest API, but it shows the actions I have created using Open API.
So I just wanted to know why the RestApi connector is not showing in flows under the Actions step
Also note, it was successfully deployed and seen under the integrations → actions tab

Please can I get an ans for my ques

Hi @Irene_Sibi,

Just to make sure, have you followed all of the steps or REST API integration from this documentation? Regardless, I think the reason that it may be showing as created used Open API instead of REST is because of this important caveat in the documentation:

Let me know if this helps!

Thank You for the reply, will look into detail and get back to you, cause since I was facing issue with rest api, I moved on with openapi.
I will clearly look into the issue and add a post in this thread if I have any questions.
Thank You
