Intuit Quickbooks integration is broken!

I have been trying to connect my Quickbooks Online account with Quick. The OAUTH flow gets stuck when the Quickbook OAUTH page asks me to configure “Payments”. That is something I don’t want to do and I can’t do (as I’m UK based). If I click “no thanks”, the OAUTH flow fails, and I cannot press “next”.

Hi @roberta.facchini

Welcome to the Quick community!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I’ve looked into the issue and while there isn’t a direct resolution documented yet, here are the most relevant resources available.

When you connect apps like Amazon Quick to QuickBooks Online, the setup steps depend on what data the app needs to sync. Since Amazon Quick handles sales and transactional data, QuickBooks requires you to have an active QuickBooks Payments account to finish the setup.

This is the reply I got from Intuit.

If you don’t want to set up payments in QuickBooks, your best bet is to reach out to Amazon support. You can ask them if they have an alternative setting or a data-only option that lets you sync your data without triggering that QuickBooks payment requirement.

Hi @roberta.facchini

I would recommend filing a case with AWS Support where we can dive into the details so that we can help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.

For reference, even using a custom OAUTH connector requires enabling payments.
