Is dynamic selection highlight possible in visuals?

So, I have a bar chart which filters another adjacent pivot table visual using simple filter action (interaction), based on which bar has been selected. Suppose you click on the first bar, it filters the pivot table to show only the value of the first bar. Well and good.

Now the issue comes after selecting a bar. Suppose you select the first bar, the first bar is highlighted remaining bars are blurred. Now you select another bar say the third bar. Now selecting the third bar filters the adjacent visual as it should well and good, but the highlight is stuck on the first bar. No matter which bar you select, the highlight is stuck on the first bar.

I need the highlight to change dynamically as I select different bars.

It’s the same for any other visual as well - line charts, scatter plots.

Is this something that can be resolved from the interaction menu, visual properties etc, parameters etc?, I have been trying but to no respite. Or is it another Quicksight caveat?

I just tested this out as well and I agree that this does not create the most seamless workflow. This may be a bug or just a feature that has not been implemented yet, but either way I’ll mark it as a feature request to promote visibility to the support team.
