Jira integration api token with scope

Hello,

we have a Jira service account that needs to read data from Jira to QS. So fare we have used my personal token that was a general token (without any scope). Everything worked as planned.

now we do not manage to connect the service account to QS. It looks like it is a problem that, for API with scopes, atlassian has a different api structure. So I am ssuming that the problem we are facing is this different API integration.

Am I correct or is there something else that could be wrong?

Hello Remba,

you may need to share the integration link with your Jira Admin for the setup.

they should be able to configure with Service Authentication.

  • For Service authentication (API Key):

    • Base URL - Your Jira Cloud instance URL.

    • API Key - Your Jira API token.

    • Email - Email address associated with your Jira user account.

Hello,
I have done this and it works if I use my personal acocunt.

Now I want to use a service account as owner of the API token. however, with such accounts, you can do only API-token with scope. and the URL for Jira, for this kind of call is different from the basic one…so is there a way to use the different URL for the API call?
