How can I duplicate a sheet that contains a filter and adjust the filter selections in the duplicated sheet without affecting the original one? When I duplicate the sheet, the filter changes from ‘Single Sheet’ to ‘Cross Sheets.’ If I revert it to ‘Single Sheet,’ the filter is removed from the 1st sheet.
How can I maintain separate filter selections between the two sheets?
Hi Claudiu!
Would you be able to share a snippet of what you press to duplicate the sheet? I tried duplicating a sheet on a dashboard of my own, and from what I can gather my duplicate sheet doesn’t seem to be tethered to the original one at all (the filters on each tab remain to be ‘this sheet’, unlike you’ve found in your experience).
Additionally, when you try to revert it to ‘single sheet’, on which tab do you perform this operation? Have you tried doing this on both the original tab and the duplicate tab to the same effect?
I have tried changing the filter to ‘Single Sheet’ on both the original and the duplicated sheet.
I get the same message and result => the filter is removed from the other sheet.
Hi @Claudiu,
You will have to go back to the original sheet and change the filter from ‘cross-sheet’ back to ‘single sheet’.
Then you’ll have to create a new filter for the duplicated sheet.
Let us know if you have any additional questions. If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll go ahead and close out this topic.
Thank you!
Hi @Brett
This is the solution that I ended up with, but it’s time consuming when dealing with multiple sheets and multiple filters.
Yes I agree and I am in the same situation. I feel this behavior was not there before!
