Meet Prantika
A true powerhouse in the field of BI, Prantika Sinha has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to take advantage of QuickSight capabilities. As we delve into Prantika’s story, we will explore how her unique perspective and problem-solving approach have made her an invaluable asset to both her organization, AWS Partner Wavicle Data Solutions, and the broader QuickSight Community.
From radio waves to data visualization
Prantika’s journey into the world of BI began in an unexpected place. “I actually started my career as a radio engineer working in the telecom industry,” she recalls. “Because I was in performance management, we had a lot of reporting. We were continuously analyzing performance, and that’s how my journey started.”
This experience sparked a passion for data analysis that would shape Prantika’s career. As she explored various BI tools and expanded beyond telecom reporting to tackle broader data challenges, she discovered QuickSight in 2020, marking the beginning of her journey with the platform.
Embracing QuickSight at Wavicle
Now at Wavicle Data Solutions and recently promoted to Associate Manager of BI, Prantika has become a driving force behind QuickSight adoption, spearheading innovative solutions for complex data challenges. Her team is at the forefront of assisting clients in their migration to QuickSight, using in-house tools to accelerate the process. Prantika’s approach to BI solutions is both pragmatic and forward-thinking, using solutions to automate and expedite the migration process. At Wavicle Data Solutions, this automation not only accelerates client migrations but also showcases Wavicle’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve in BI and generative BI technology. Prantika’s work exemplifies how QuickSight Partners, like Wavicle, are crucial in the QuickSight migration process.
A rising star in the community
Prantika’s involvement in the QuickSight Community began with her own search for QuickSight answers; however, she quickly began to pay it forward. Prantika recalled, “As I went through the existing Q&A Forum questions, I found that there were a few questions I knew the answer to, and I could help the community.” Her enthusiasm for tackling diverse problems and her collaborative problem-solving skills have made her stand out.
Prantika’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. “When I joined the Community, I did not know about the Expert recognition program. Honestly, the first time I got a notification, I was very surprised,” she said. Being one of our Experts has not only boosted her personal growth and raised visibility for Wavicle, but has also increased awareness of the QuickSight Community within and beyond her organization.
Innovations and future plans
At Wavicle, Prantika plans to contribute to several exciting QuickSight related initiatives: developing an in-house converter solution for streamlining dashboard migration, exploring new features like scenario analysis and generative BI, building voice-of-customer sentiment analysis using QuickSight and Amazon Bedrock, implementing data stories for Weekly Business Review (WBR) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) reports, and creating custom visuals using Highcharts.

Prantika is also immersed in the usage and optimization of natural language queries (NLQ) and AI-driven features for business users. She recognizes that the power of tools like Amazon Q in QuickSight—a generative BI assistant for building BI dashboards, visualizations, and complex calculations in minutes using natural language—lies not just in the technology itself, but in how effectively users can interact with it. “We want to educate customers on how to phrase their questions to get better answers,” Prantika explains. By helping users craft more effective queries, she makes sure that businesses can extract more meaningful insights from their data, bridging the gap between advanced AI capabilities and practical, day-to-day business needs.
A lasting impact
Beyond her technical contributions, Prantika’s enthusiasm for learning and exploring new features is contagious. She has become a vital contributor within the QuickSight Community, and her work at Wavicle—including her video series Q Sera Sera (with episodes on getting started with the QuickSight Community and answering common QuickSight questions)—continues to help others master QuickSight.
Prantika’s success story speaks particularly strongly to women in the BI field. As a prominent female leader in BI, she has become a natural mentor and inspiration to many aspiring data professionals. Through her active presence in the QuickSight Community and her leadership role at Wavicle, she demonstrates that technical expertise combined with collaborative problem-solving skills can open doors to leadership positions in BI.
As we kick off 2025, Prantika continues to be a driving force in the QuickSight Community. Her journey to becoming a BI innovator serves as an inspiration. We are excited to see how she will continue to shape the future of QuickSight and the broader BI landscape.
Congratulations, once again, to Prantika!
