Multiple connectors of the same type

Hi

I have two separate Outlook connectors I’d like to connect to in Quick Desktop. I was able to use the “Create for my Team” function to create a second connector, and configure it for my second account. So both are now visible in the “Connectors” tab and both show they are authenticated. The second instance has a different name, which I was able to choose when creating it.

I can see this in Quick Web but not Quick Desktop - which just seems to show the one Outlook connector.

In Quick Web, I ask Quick what Outlook connectors it can see, but it only sees the one; it refers to this as “MS_Exchange”, which I think is the internal name of the connector.

How can I use both connectors, or is that not possible? What’s the point of being able to create new connectors, if they can’t be seen in Quick. Is there a roadmap for supporting multiple accounts for the same connector?

Hi @Tom_Kerswill and welcome to the Quick Community!

Currently, a Quick account can only connect to one connector per type. The “Create for my Team” option is designed for provisioning connectors to different team members rather than giving one user multiple accounts of the same type. So while you can technically create two Outlook connectors, your Quick account will only utilize one and there’s currently no way to switch between them.

You’re right that both show as authenticated in the Connectors tab, but the agent only binds to one instance. The “MS_Exchange” name you’re seeing I would guess is the internal identifier for the Outlook connector type, which confirms this single-binding behavior.

I’ll attach the ‘feature-request’ tag to this post to help increase visibility with the Quick team.

Thanks for the quick response. Ah, that makes sense and tallies with what I was seeing, too. Fab - I think this would be a great feature request…
