While creating dashboard i link it with Q topic and share the topic with user with reader role. After publishing i shared the dashboard with same user but still user is not able to question Q topic as no search bar is visible on dashboard. Once i change the role to reader pro, user is able to see search bar and ask question.
As per documentation, reader role user can ask Q questions but it doesn’t work with reader role. Is this changed?
Same issue via embedding also. With reader role nothing gets loaded on UI in this case but as soon as role is changed to pro it worked fine.
Any suggestion what’s wrong or it is expected behaviour i.e reader pro role is minimum requirement in this case?

When was this QuickSight account created ?
Assuming before May 1st 2024,
Author Pro and Reader Pro user roles can now be added to your account at any time to gain access to new Amazon Q capabilities without impacting the billing of non-Pro roles, and users can be upgraded or downgraded to Pro roles at any time. Reader and Author users in Existing Enterprise + Q subscribed accounts can take advantage of Amazon Q capabilities granted to Reader Pro and Author Pro roles until July 31, 2024.
You would need to move to the new pricing to take advantage of 3$ per user who can ask questions using Q.

Thanks @Koushik_Muthanna, Yes account was created before May 1st 2024. After changing pricing plan it worked with reader role.
