Number of Data Points Restriction

Good morning,
I read the question below that was asked previously.
How to increase the number of data points to show in this situation? - Question & Answer - Amazon QuickSight Community

I created a line graph, and I applied filters to restrict the values in the x-axis and groups. That being said, I still get the same message as shown in the screenshot below.

The message about “Decrease X-axis limit to increase this limit further”: does it mean that I must exclude some data in the original dataset for the column I use in the X-axis?
Applying a filter to restrict values for the X-axis didn’t help.

Thank you

Hi @desmat,

It means that you have to go to Format visual > X-axis and decrease the number of data points there. After you’ve done that, you’ll be able to increase the number of lines.

Good afternoon David,
Thank you so much for the clarification. I saw that by default the x-axis can have up to 400 points and the group/color up to 50. By decreasing the data points in one of them, the limit increases in the other.

Have a great day
