I have multiple controls in my billing dashboard, out of which there are program and purpose control. Is there a way to select values that are in either program OR purpose ?
( For eg. There are EBR, EBRS, , AVRP, MD in program and purpose has EBR APP, EBR RV, EBR Birth, EBR12, EBR5 etc.) When i apply cascading filters and select EBR AND EBRS, in program control I see only EBR App, EBR Birth in purpose control. But I want to see anything associated with EBR, EBRS which means that if EBR12, EBR5 is asscociated with AVRP , MD , I should be able to select AVRP and MD in program as well.
Thank you.
Hello @ghegde, I might not fully understand the question that you asked, but the cascading filters do work as OR condition rather than AND condition. Maybe there is something in your data that is causing an issue with the controls.
If you select EBR and EBRS in the control for program, then the control for Purpose would then show any corresponding values that are present on the same row as EBR or EBRS in the program field. Are there contradictory values or list values in any of your fields that would be causing an issue here?
Hello @ghegde, oh so Program and Purpose are stored in the same column? How are you setting up each control dropdown to show only fields from Program or Purpose? I don’t think you would want to set them as cascading then because you will never have a situation where a value from program will ever match a row value for purpose, so it will always filter out the options from one or the other.
If they were set up as different fields in the dataset, then it would work as expected, but as long as the values are shown in the same column, you will run into this issue.
Hello @ghegde, are you able to provide some information regarding the questions I asked in my previous response? That will help me guide you towards a solution on this issue.
If we do not hear back from you in the next 3 days, I will close out this topic. Thank you!
