Overlapping maps

Hello,

We have two maps (points on map), one is a basic point map and the other is a heatmap. We want to overlap these two maps in order that we can see the heatmap merged with the basic point map in only just one visual.

We tried creating the analysis as free-form and overlapping them, however this solution is not working.

As a creative solution, we did a scatter plot from the basic point map, and tried to overlap it with the heatmap. It did not work, because the zoom is not working, and the overlap is not well done.

Is there a better solution to tackle this problem?

Thank you

Hi @01267ts,
While there’s not a direct way to overlap 2 heat maps with the standard map visual options, QuickSight recently introduced layered maps, which may be able to assist in creating something similar. You would need to utilize geojson files for this option though.

In regards to adding 2 different variables to a heat map, I will mark this as a feature request as it would be a nice addition.
