Permissions to my own analysis are gone or analysis has been delete

Hello, can please anybody help urgently on that?

The Quicksight analysis to my EU teams WBR Quicksight Dashboard is just gone.
I still have the link: https://us-east-1.quicksight.aws.amazon.com/sn/analyses/aeb2ac34-2f9a-4ed9-9cc2-adfa50ce41fc/sheets/eb04a342-183e-4f8d-b937-fdec95f80615
But I get the error message “We can’t open that analysis. ### This usually happens when you don’t have access permission, it’s from another QuickSight account, or it was deleted.”

Also a peer that I had added as co-owner cannot access it anymore.

In this case - luckily - I had also created a folder just for better overview containing all the many related data set queries: https://us-east-1.quicksight.aws.amazon.com/sn/folders/personal/f03340bd-ef0e-460f-91bc-1ccdc69f0365.

When I go into a dataset and go to “Usage” the line with my vanished analysis is also not in anymore - like it has been deleted from somebody.

Has anybody experience in restoring an analysis again?

Thank you so much for any help,
Andrea

Hey Andrea,
if the analysis is really deleted you can restore it through the CLI.
Here is an example: How do I restore an analysis after accidentally deleting it? - Question & Answer - Amazon QuickSight Community
you need the Analysis ID: ListAnalyses - Amazon QuickSight
and then you can restore it: RestoreAnalysis - Amazon QuickSight

Hi @Andrea_Weilguni

you can find the ID in the link as well as it looks like you can click on the analysis still.

If not you can use ListAnalyses as Robert mentioned to find the analysis.

You can als try to check the permissions if the analysis wasn’t deleted.

Thank you for your quick answer. Sounds like it could work, but I have an absolute dummy question: In which tool do I need to run the command?
Andrea

Hi @Andrea_Weilguni
you can use CloudShell
