Good morning,
I’m working on creating a funnel chart of mortality rate in Quick Sight. I looked online, and I didn’t see any resources that can help me to do so. I saw some funnel plots about metrics such as Sales/GP, but these are not relevant to my case. A funnel chart of mortality rate requires the calculation of a standard error, lower/upper 95%/99% confidence interval, and so on.
I have included a Tableau screenshot of what the funnel plot will look like. Do you have any resources/steps to follow to do the same visualization in Quick Sight?
Thank you,
Are you looking for calculations or the chart?
Currently, the only way to do the chart would be to overlay a scatter plot over a line chart.
Good afternoon Max,
Thank you for your response. For the funnel plot in the screenshot, data preprocessing is mandatory. That’s why the person who did the funnel plot had to create many calculated fields (where it says “Step 1”, “Step 2”, “Step 3” on the left hand side). In Tableau, it’s not possible to do this graph without at least some of these calculated fields: the original dataset is not enough. I opened each calculated field to have a better idea of what they did. The funnel plot creator followed all these steps before they could create the graph.
I’m trying to recreate this funnel plot in Quick Sight. I may not need to follow the exact same steps as shown in the screenshot, but some of them are necessary. You said that “the only way to do the chart would be to overlay a scatter plot over a line chart”. I will look into the documentation that you provided.
Have a great day
