Is the AI model based on well-known LLMs or on a custom AWS model?

Good question. Since I’m not an AWS employee, I do not want to speak on behalf of their team or guess at anything internal. But if I recall correctly from a question that was answered at previous Quick Suite event, I think it was mentioned that the AI features are built on AWS’s own underlying models.

As I am told multiple models are involved and the most cost effective is being used to answer questions. Which makes sense since working with structured data in Quick Sight involves different model capabilities than needed for a chat agent to interact with documents in spaces.
However, for reasoning Claude Sonnet 4 seems to be used.
