I am experiencing a strange issue in QuickSight. When I create a calculated field and add the logic, I receive an error message when I try to save it. However, there is actually no error in the logic. Interestingly, when I click the cancel button, I notice that the calculated column has been created despite the error message.
Can anyone help me, why this is happening ??

I’ve experienced this as well, and I’ve never found a great reason why it happens.
Have you experienced this multiple times in the same session or repeatedly over multiple sessions? Also, once the calculation has been made are the values it returns accurate?
In the same session as well as sometime in multiple session also i seen this issue.
whenever i making some changes in calculated column i am getting this.

This is definitely frustrating for now I will mark this as a feature request so it is flagged to the QuikSight team.
Also, it wouldn’t hurt if you wanted to file a support case with AWS. Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf.
