Hi @parthprj
Yes, you need AWS CloudTrail, which is a service provided by AWS and requires an AWS account to set up and use. You don’t need to sign up for a new AWS account; you just need to set up CloudTrail with your existing one.
Contact your organization admin or technical team to set up CloudTrail logs. Using this link, you can easily implement it with the “Launch Stack” option along with the required configuration details. This will help you effectively track and analyze user interactions with your Quick Sight Admin Monitoring dashboard.
Enabling AWS CloudTrail, ensures CloudTrail is active in your AWS account to capture Quick Sight events.
Configure CloudTrail Logging:
- Set up a trail to deliver log files to an Amazon S3 bucket.
- CloudTrail is enabled by default, but you may need to create a trail to deliver logs to an S3 bucket.
If you want to see when a user was last active in Quick Sight, you can find the ‘Last active’ timestamp by navigating to Manage Quick Sight > Manage Users.
