Regex in Calculated Fields

I am looking for Regex in calculated fields, when I do a google search about it, the best I come up with was that it was logged as a feature request back in 2023, surely by now it would have been implemented, so how do I do it?

I believe currently there is still no support for regular expressions in calculated fields.
At AWS, our roadmap is primarily driven by our customers. Your feedback helps us build a better service. I have tagged this question as a feature request.

Sorry, this seems like a major oversight, regular expressions should have been one of the first items in calculated fields. I have since worked around it, but what a pain.
