I’d like to use the KPI visual to compare the last 30 days with the 30 days prior to that. Currently, I’m using it for monthly comparisons— is it possible to configure it for rolling 30-day periods instead?

You could use a variation of what I am doing in this arena link:
Two KPIs Current/Previous Period
Basically using a combination of parameters in calculated fields and addDateTime to set the two values for your value and trend group field wells.
