Scheduled dataset refresh fails

I have developed multiple custom dashboards in Quicksight using SQL queries, but the data sets keep failing to update during the scheduled refresh time. I have tried both incremental and full refresh types, but the issue persists. Please help me resolving this.

Error details:

Error type:

Invalid operation: too many connections for user

Error snip FYR

Hi @Prasad_CM - Is there any change in the database end. Is it possible to refresh the data set manually once to ensure there is NO issue in the query. please take the sql and run it manually in any client tool as well to ensure the sql is fine and the issue is at QuickSight side.

Regards - Sanjeeb

@Sanjeeb2022 There is no changes in the database. I’ve tried manually refreshing it multiple times (as shown in the attached image), and it’s functioning correctly. The query also runs smoothly in client tools. You’ll notice that there are days when the refresh failed and others when it successfully refreshed, on the scheduled refresh time.

Hi @Prasad_CM - In that case, can you please raise a ticket to AWS Customer support team to investigate the issue why the spice refresh is failing in scheduling state. They can check internal logs and helped in resolving. To raise the request, please follow the link - Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support
