Scheduled Sendout via API

Good afternoon! My Company has asked me to research sending Dashboard Sendouts via an API call. Last I saw on the Community Board this was on the roadmap. Is this feature still up and coming? Is there another workaround in place?

Example:

  • I want to be able to assertively trigger a Dashboard Sendout
  • Take in a DashboardId and SheetId
  • Do a single sendout of a .pdf / .csv / .xlsx file to a list of emails

The closest API call I saw in my research was start_dashboard_snapshot_job, which is specifically related to Paginated Reports which I currently do not have access to at my Company

Hi @mwmcnall , this feature is in our product roadmap. Please keep an eye on recent releases here: Announcements - Amazon QuickSight. As you mentioned in your post, you can use the Amazon QuickSight Snapshot Export APIs for your use case but it requires Paginated reporting enabled in your account.
