Shapes in AWS Quicksight

Hi Team,

I have a scenario regarding the use of different shapes in AWS QuickSight. In Tableau, when you add a region to shapes, it automatically displays various shapes based on the region. However, in QuickSight, while I’ve utilized a line chart, it doesn’t categorize by region. Instead, it allows only a single shape for all regions. Could we explore options to achieve similar functionality in QuickSight?

Hi @Pradeep1,
Can you share a screenshot of your visual in QuickSight instead so we can see how your fields are mapped out?
Have you tried adding your Region field to the ‘color’ section of your visual? Based on your dataset, that should allow you to then setup a reference line for each option in your field (and change the shape of the plot points).

Yes i have already tried adding region to color.

I created the line chart in QS by removing the lines from the data series and adding color by region. Year in small multiples

For now as a workaround i did this and got the similar view as tableau however only limitation is the shapes here
