Should the week number include 2025 WK53?

Should the week number include 2025 WK53 or directly jump to 2026 WK01, considering that January 1st, 2026 is a Thursday?

I am not too sure the specific standard that Amazon Quick goes by, but if it follows ISO-8601 standard (which I think it does as it is pretty common internationally), then it would be WK01 2026. This is because WK01 for this year starts December 29th (making sense why January 1st is considered despite falling on a Thursday).

Thanks luis, it seems that the week number started at Sunday, refer to Week Numbers for 2025, other systems use weeks starting on Sunday (US). So I wonder whether 2025 WK53 is exist or not on Amazon Quick.

If using a Sunday week start system, that could affect it and make it Week 53. Is there a specific Quick use case you are trying to apply this knowledge to. If so, I would definitely play around to see how January 1st is recognized by making a count of weeks (via calculated field for example).

Hi JacboR, I just wonder how week calculation in Amazon’s logic. Is there should be 2025 Week 53, and if 2025 Week 53 be in Amazon’s system.

As I have not been able to find any documentation that specifies how many weeks in a year are implemented, I would definitely recommend creating a support ticket with AWS Support, as they are more likely to explain which is the case.

My assumption is there are only 52 weeks in a year within amazon’s system, but like what was previously stated before there is really no documentation to support or deny this assumption.
