Single Quicksight dashboard with option to hide/display reports page or hide/display reports tab based on which user/group/customer login?

Whether the Quicksight can support for having a single dashboard with option to hide/display reports page or hide/display reports tab based on which user/group/customer login ?

For e.g. If report A is applicable for customer A and not to customer B then do not show case the report name or report tab in the dashboard when customer B login.

Similarly a column in report A is applicable for customer A and not to customer B then do not show case the column name on the report view for customer B’s report view

The data formats for each reports (say date, currency etc) must be applicable to respective customers (e.g. dates must e displayed as MM/DD/YYY for one customer/user/group and DD/MM/YY for another customer/user…

Is there any feature we can use it in Quicksight to achieve or any other alternative way available to achieve this requirement.

While the function of being able to hide/show a complete sheet is not currently available, there are work around options that you could explore to achieve the goal of limiting the information returned based on the user.
You could explore RLS or CLS options:

For additional sheet filtering, I can add that as a feature request as I agree that would be a nice addition.

Hi @Brett, Thanks for the response… we are already using the RLS feature to control the data showing to the user based on the group they login, and CLS to control particular column level data as well… but all these options, if the user don’t have the access to view a particular column it displays as “data is not authorized for the user message” in the visual, that is something not a good user experience. so we are looking for the functions to hide/show columns and hide report page/reports tab based on user/group we login… Is there any other alternative methods we could use to achieve ?

To my understanding, currently this option is not available; I believe the best work around (while less than ideal) would be to create additional dashboards catered to those groups.

I’ll mark this as a feature request to promote visibility to the AWS support team.
