Hello! The new feature for selecting the start of the week does not change how the weeks are displayed in a date picker control. I have selected Monday to be the start of the week in the analysis settings but in my date picker control seems that Sunday is the start of the week. It seems a bit confusing. Does anyone know how to fix that?
Hi Anastasia,
Once you set start of week to Monday in your analysis. You will notice that rolling date calculation changes to calculate week-start as Monday and week-end as Sunday.
You have shown screenshot of date picker filter control, in my view it is expected output. Can you please explain what you are trying to accomplish. Here is the documentation link for start-of-week configuration [Customize date and time values of an analysis - Amazon QuickSight]
Configuration of rolling week date in filter:
Effect on filter: (picked monday as start date 11-Dec-2023 rather than sunday 10-Dec-2023 for this filter)
I mean that in my understanding I would expect the view of the calendar in the filters and the control date picker to change when you set the start of the week from Sunday to Monday but the display stays the same (showing Sunday as the first day of the week in the calendar). I don’t know if this is supposed to be that way or could be a feature request or it can be set somewhere in the settings.
Hi @Anasia,
I’ve tested this as well, and changing the start day of the week for an analysis doesn’t then reflect on the date picker control, this documentation explains when the “Start of the week” setting applies.
At AWS, our roadmap is primarily driven by our customers. Your feedback helps us build a better service, I’ll tag this as a feature request and archive this question.
Many Thanks,
Andrew
