Table Calculation

Good afternoon,
In Tableau, when one right-clicks on a measure used in a graph, there is a feature called “Table Calculation”.

I have included a screenshot. In this case: “Var Data” is the measure,. Within the Table Calculation feature, there are the options of “Calculation Type” and “Compute Using”. Does QuickSight has the same/similar feature?

Thank you

Hello @desmat , I believe you might be looking for calculated fields that you can add into your dataset to run built in functions on QuickSight to create new columns. If I am not thinking about this correctly please let me know, but there is a ton of functionality built in to do this type of functionality on your visuals.

The view will look different from Tableau because you have to write the functions out yourself, but I will include some QuickSight documentation to get you started!

Another feature for visuals that you might find helpful would be conditional formatting that allows for different colors, icons, and display features depending on the data that is being returned!

If you need some more specific details feel free to let me know and I can try to guide you down the correct path.

Hi @desmat,

You can read about table calculations here:

The same concepts of table across, table down, etc also exist in QuickSight:
