Version control in QuickSight

How version control can be implemented in QuickSight? we do have shared folders and if i make any changes to existing analysis and all analysis in multiple shared folders is getting updated, so im confused with what is purpose of shared folders. where do we store datasets, analysis and dashboards and how version control can be implemented in QuickSight

In regards to version control; QuickSight does not have a native feature that handles this directly. However; with an analysis you can ‘Save As’ to create a new copy, or a new version. That copy will only belong to you until you share it with other users. Since multiple users can have access to an analysis, I strongly suggest utilizing this feature to create new versions of the same analysis prior to making changes. That way you can always revert back to another version if necessary.
This is even more useful now that QuickSight has implemented the ability to save over a dashboard from any analysis within your account.
