Vertical stacked 100% bar chart - Apply color o the bars based on the group

Hi,
I am working on migrating Tableau dashboards to QS. I have this visual in Tableau that is a100 % bar chart and it is grouped by a field that used shades of grey(theme). Is there a way to achieve this in Quicksight?. There are more than 20 shades of grey being used in Tableau

Hi @bethasb
you can define the color for your “field that used shades of grey(theme)” on the “Edit field colors…” option.

You can also use RGB or HEX color codes.

Thanks Eric for the response.
So we don have a theme based color ? instead of manually changing colors to all the values
Also when I use an attribute in the color shelf, its supposed to automatically break the bars into that many colors which its not doing in this particular(100 % bar chart ) graph but its able to do in a line graph. I only see 1 color that breaks the bars. Example the grey that you see in the graph above.

You could use the a theme as well.

But if you would like to have the same color/field mapping each time you need to set fix field colors.

Hi @bethasb,
It’s been awhile since we last heard from you, did you have any additional questions regarding your initial post or was one of the solutions provided above sufficient for your case?

If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll close out this topic.

Thank you!

Is there a way, if we can have an automatically colored bar graphs without needing to set them manually?
