This is new, is session based pricing still the same with Quicksight Embedded? 1 session is 30 minutes of a single user interacting with embedded dashboards?
I only ask as I’ve seen similar session / active hour based pricing for similar software. For example shinyapps.io offers session based pricing but covers any number of users per session, with the constraint that all sessions are running on a VM with 4 cores and 8gbs of memory.

My understanding of the definition of a user session in Quicksight is any time an individual interacts with a dashboard regardless if its in the Quicksight UI or embedded.
From my understanding, the charge is fixed from the time the user initiates the session, and then continues if the user is actively clicking and interacting with the dashboard. I would say sections 2 through 6 in the FAQ section are the most helpful for this.
I also recommend reaching out to your AWS account executive to breakdown the pricing model and what you would be priced at for your use case.
