Hello @muhk01,

Welcome to the QuickSight community!

QuickSight offers two pricing models for users, per-user pricing and session capacity pricing:

  • Per-user pricing
A predictable pricing model for BI developments and embedding in startups and SMBs. It costs up to $5 per user per month, plus $0.30 per session (30 minutes per session).

  • Session capacity pricing
A session-based pricing model for embedding and large-scale BI deployments at ISVs and enterprises. It starts at $250 per month for 500 sessions per month, plus $0.50 per overage session.

QuickSight’s pricing is based on user role, and users can choose the pricing model that best suits their business needs.

Additionally, if you use SPICE storage, the cost is $0.38 per GB per month.

Please refer the following QuickSight pricing documentation this might be helpful for you.

I also recommend reaching out to your AWS account executive or support to breakdown the pricing model and what you would be priced at for your use case.

hello thanks for the response but mentioned in Business Intelligence Service – Amazon QuickSight Pricing – AWS
and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4jpT6RNZog&t=10s

confirm that reader pricing is $3 ‘FLAT’ where I can find the details or could you give me link where details for pricing for per-user pricing is $5 and there is $0.30 per session?

Hello Muhamad,

$ 5 pricing was in the old pricing model. If i am not mistaken, it does not exist any more with new pricing Model.
there are two types of pricing - User based & Capacity based.
User based = 3$ for reader and $20 for Reader Pro
Capacity based = Session and a session is a 30 minutes period which is being shared with users. If you have thousand of users you may opt for session based pricing.
For 250 $ you get 500 sessions which will be consumed by all your users.

Author and Author pro would be priced at 24$ and 50$ / Month respectively.

FYI - you may see this page for additional capabilities pricing

Hope this clears your doubt.

Cheers,
Deep

Hello, thank you so much for the additional information, could you also explain to me if I have this case, suppose I have embeded dashboard and reader access it several time a day, in average could be around 9 hours in total daily basis, and probably around 150 hours a month does user based model has something like session pricing if reader read from embeded dashboard? does I just charged flat only $3 regardless how long the session of the reader utilized?

Hello Muhamad,

Is you have a reader based pricing and you have embedding for registered user then yes its flat 3$ / user/month.

hope this helps.

Cheers,
Deep
