What's this service even called?

I’ve used QS for a number of years, where it has always been QuickSight. However, I’ve seen it was rebranded to Quick Suite in the last few months, and in more recent times, simply just to Quick. Also just had an email come through referring to “Quick Sight in Amazon Quick Suite“, sent from amazonquick. Are all three names still in use? What do each of the names refer to? As a resident of England, Great Britain, and the United Kingdom, I thought I’d be good at recognising different names for different subdivisions, but I’m stumped.

Your confusion is completely understandable. As you stated, Quick Sight was rebranded to Quick Suite a few months ago when they rolled out additional AI features and expanded the application beyond just a BI tool. Very recently, the name Quick Suite was changed to simply Quick. Quick Sight is now officially a BI feature within the Quick application.

So to clarify: Quick Sight still exists as the business intelligence component, but it now lives within Quick (formerly known as Quick Suite).

I believe the thought process behind it was that most features within the application had quick in front of it (Quick Sight, Quick Flows, Quick Research, etc.) so naming the application just ‘Quick’ would be easier for users to understand.

Thanks for the reply, it’s certainly cleared up a lot! So, is “Quick Suite” still used, or is that now completely removed?

Anything that was originally called Quick Suite will now just be called Quick. They are currently in the process of changing everything over to the new name so you may see instances where both names are being used in the meantime.

To be fair, I’m very familiar with gradual rebranding since we had to do it when QuickSight changed to Quick Suite a few months ago, encouraging our internal staff and customers to use the new name. And now we’ve got to do the same thing all over again but with Quick (or back to Quick Sight). Hopefully, AWS’ marketing team doesn’t change the branding again any time soon.

I cannot speak on whether or not AWS will change the name again. As a Quick user myself, I would assume changing the name to Quick will greatly reduce any need to change the name in the future as they continue to improve and build upon this application.
