Why isn't spice option showing up?

I am trying to change the query mode to spice but its not showing up. Why is that and how can I fix this if possible?

Welcome to Quicksight comminity and thank you for posting your question.

It could be because of 2 reasons - Size and the way you are joining the datasets.

  1. Whats the size of your dataset? Does it have more than 2 billion rows or 1 TB of data, whichever comes first (Enterprise edition) (standard edition has 25 million rows) If your dataset exceeds this limit, you won’t be able to use SPICE for it. May I know your dataset size please ?

  1. Are you using any joins and joining any datasets ?

  2. What is your data source?
