Asset Bundle and error with new data preparation experience

Hi team,

In our team, we are heavily relying on asset bundling to manage multiple quicksuite account and environments.

I have used the “Create dataset” command that is now using the new data preparation experience and I have troubles when starting asset bundling: “DescribeDataSet is not supported for this dataSet in new data preparation experience”.

Is there a way to have the changelog with all restriction related to this new experience?

To prevent further issue (and time loss), is there a way to force our user to create dataset with legacy experience (if it takes time on your side to implement asset bundling with new experience and if it is scheduled), account wide.

It is pretty mandatory for us to use this asset bundling and being unable to run export is a hard blocking point for us. On that point, is there a target date for deprecation and suppression of the legacy way of creating dataset?

Thanks for your time,

Arthur

this error is also broke a number of our scheduled jobs: “DescribeDataSet is not supported for this dataSet in new data preparation experience” - I’m wondering if this will be supported in the future and if there is an ETA for it?

We are not able to deploy dashboards between environments, do you know other solution for this ?

@nancho35 what we did is replace all the new data prep experience data sets with legacy experience ones, and then delete the new data prep experience data sets - hopefully you don’t have that many. That should prevent this specific error from being the culprit

@athollon @mangell @nancho35 (cc: @Brett ) Programmatic support for datasets in the new experience was released recently. This includes full Asset Bundle support as well. Can you try now and let us know if you see any issues?

Hi @athollon ,

Following up here as it’s been a while since last communication took place on this thread; did you have any additional questions regarding your initial post?

If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll close out this topic.

Thank you
