Can we get Quick Sight API access for creating resources programmatically?

We need programmatic access to Quick Sight APIs to automate the creation and management of resources including dashboards, analyses, and datasets. This will enable us to dynamically generate and customize Quick Sight assets through our application. Required permissions include the ability to create/modify data sources, datasets, analyses, templates, and dashboards via AWS SDK/CLI. This is required for FinOps teams’ productivity data in the form of Quicksight dashboards to be used for 500+ HC

Hi @abhrac

Welcome to the Quick Sight community!

To programmatically access and automate the management of Quick Sight resources (dashboards, analyses, datasets, etc.), dedicated API permissions through AWS IAM roles are required. The AWS SDKs (like boto3 for Python) and AWS CLI support these operations, but proper IAM policies must be attached to the executing identity.

Please refer to the following documentations this might be helpful for you.

I can see this is for Enterprise edition right
Can we get the API access for the AmazonBi Quicksight Account?

Hi @abhrac

As this is a community forum managed by users, we don’t have access to private account details, so we’re unable to assist directly with this request. I kindly suggest reaching out to your AWS account admin or Quick Sight admin, who will be in the best position to help with these permissions.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. Any info on who to contact? Would you be able to provide a mail?
