Can we restrict data to be showcased to 3 months only for better visibility, if I do that from control it impacts the forecasted visuals any other better of achieving this?

Depending on grain of data, ML forecasting requires minimum data points to project the forecasting. for example when data is aggerated by month, then it required 43 months of data.
You change the forecasting visual to aggregated by Day instead of month. This way you limit data to 3 months and also utilize the forecasting feature.
If the requirement is keep data only for 3 months, you can apply filter at dataset layer and publish it for CID.
