Is there any way when I am opening the dashboard, the maps focus on UK by default ?
If I am working on the dahsboard, incase If I am looking at say US in the map and then publish it, the published dashboard shows US instead of UK ?

I think so if you have data filtered applied to the country you are interested in and publish it via analysis to dashboard then yes. The published dashboard would have the filtered applied.

you can also consider setting up default parameter and use it to filter data. For instance, filter UK for all user or specific user or user group
