Cross dataset checkbox issues

Hi!

I am experiencing issues with cross dataset checkbox/ field mapping and I cannot seem to find the root of this happening.

What we are experiencing that sometimes the cross dataset checkbox needs unchecking and then re-checking to work properly. E.g. cascading filters stop working - solution is to uncheck and recheck. I deduce it happens when adding new dataset to analysis - field mappings do not work unless you check and uncheck cross dataset. But recently it happens without bigger reason - I don’t know maybe a field was added to one of the datasets linked to analysis.

Did someone experienced similar issues and can tell me more? Any insights would be helpful. Is this maybe a bug?

Hello @JRoz, the cross dataset filtering can be a bit buggy. I wouldn’t be surprised if adding a field in a dataset would also cause the issue to occur. Normally to get around these filtering issues, I will utilize parameters instead of regular filters so then I can apply the parameterized filter to each dataset individually. I find this works better across datasets and allows for more selective filtering.

I can also tag this topic appropriately to bring attention to the support team. I would recommend moving to parameterized filtering in the mean time to avoid updating the cross dataset filtering when a dataset is updated with new fields. I’ll link some documentation below:

Let me know if you have any further questions, otherwise I can archive this for our support team. Thank you!
